RetroArch is an amazing program, and it allows for a lot of customization, which we are going to be utilizing to make the most of our experience with the games. MAME is also available on Android as a standalone app, but there isn’t a MAME Android App that supports the Game & Watch games, which is why we are going with the RetroArch method: because it allows us to use the latest version of MAME, and thereby emulate the Game & Watch titles. ![]() In the case of ‘Oil Panic’, the artwork file is also named gnw_opanic.zip. The accompanying artwork file is named the same as the ROM file, and is always stored in the MAME artwork folder. For the Game & Watch game ‘Oil Panic’, for example, its ROM file is named gnw_opanic.zip. The MAME ROM files each have an exact name that needs to remain unchanged. You need ROM files that match the version of MAME you’re using, or at least the latest version of the ROMs (with latest version of MAME). First you download RetroArch, then you download the core you need to emulate the game you wish to play (in this tutorial, we’re using the latest version of MAME as our core), then you download the respective ROMs and artwork files.
